There were two proposals under consideration through community engagement and co-ordination.
Option A considers the demolition of the Library and the Community Centre, which would be reconstructed within a new purpose built operational Fire Station and Community Centre. The station would accommodate two fire appliances, a training area and tower. The community spaces within the building will reinforce the commitment to providing fire safety education and advice to the community in conjunction with existing purposes.
It is hoped that several community uses within one building will promote community interaction.
Option B explores the possibility of retaining the existing Community Centre, demolishing the Library and Children's Centre and combine within a new fire station and community complex.
